Last week, a current client got on the scale for the first time all year and discovered she’d lost 10 pounds.Without tracking her calories.
She then shared that before she decided to work with me, she read my client testimonials of other people losing weight with it just “coming off.” She thought, Yeah right. That doesn’t happen. That’s not a thing!
She said she’s now happy to put her foot in her mouth.
Now, her 10 pound weight loss didn’t magically happen.
She courageously transformed her all or nothing mindset during our time together. This is inseparable from consistent healthy food choices.
We also worked on healing her gut health.
After listening to today’s episode, you’ll see why you have to throw out the saying “You are what you eat”, because it’s really” You are what you absorb”.
Feeling sluggish?
Experiencing brain fog?
Can’t lose weight, even when dieting like crazy?
It’s most likely an imbalance of bacteria in your gut. This Insatiable episode will provide insight into these problems and how to fix them.
While I don’t track calories or standard food diaries with my clients, I do track their poop. Because weight loss is a side-effect of healing your physiology (and psychology).
How you poop tells you invaluable information about your gut health and the trillions of bacteria hanging out there.
If you’re not going at least once a day, with solid stools, you’re not maximizing how your body uses nutrition. And you’re not detoxing.
It often takes your own experience, like my own 15 pound weight loss achieved by reversing all my digestive related issues like acne, allergies, and IBS or like my client above to really be able to leave the calories in, calories out story behind.
On the flip side, when I’m having a consult with a client, I’ve often found they’ve experienced significant weight gain after a period of repeated rounds of antibiotics and/or steroid medications.
In fact, I got an email from a past Truce with Food client who had lost a dress size during the program. A year later, after some heavy duty antibiotics, found herself up a couple pounds. She emailed me and intuitively was wondering, “could it be the antibiotics?”
Fortunately, during the program, she began building her gut health resilience. She knows how to restore her digestive system. And, feels excited to focus on healing her now raw, tender stomach instead of thinking she has to cut back on calories.
Learn more about all those invisible critters teaming inside of you in this Insatiable podcast episode!
