On today’s episode of Insatiable, Eating Triggers: Transform self-help into self-trust, one of my clients, Eva, stops by to share her Truce with Food® story and how she learned she doesn’t need anyone else to tell her what to do or who to be.
No matter how well we’re doing with our goals, life happens. And it’s in those times of uncertainty that many of us turn to self-help experts to tell us how to overcome our urges. Often though, we end up stuck even more – paralyzed by mantras like “be positive” or “feel your feelings” because we don’t know how to actually do that.
When we can’t trust ourselves, we turn to self-help experts to tell us what to do. But we don’t need anyone else to tell us what to do or who to be – we just have to re-learn self-trust.
