My Truce with Food certification open house is this Thursday at 12:30 pm EST. Sign-up here to attend. I’ll be sharing how creating Truce with Food, a repeatable, scalable and evidence-based change process that meets clients with empathy and productive self-compassion radically changed my business and client-impact. A small-group, special pricing round starts next month. A recording will be sent out if you can’t make it live.
How would you describe what you’re feeling right now?
Many of us are feeling ungrounded. This makes perfect sense considering all the changes and transitions from COVID alone. And when we lose our center, many of us turn to food.
With COVID-induced child care, work and social changes happening again and life giving everyone I know profound challenges (is there funky astrology weather?), these changes are instigating many life re-evaluations.
I talked about this, including why feeling ungrounded is probably a healthy response, in my new, special Insatiable podcast (transcript available).
During profound changes like a global pandemic, our values are up for consideration. We wonder:
- What’s really important to me?
- What new values are emerging that I deeply care about?
- What do I no longer want to have on my plate?
Becoming a Mom and perimenopause has me playing around with what I no longer want to deal with. I find it ironic (or maybe symbolic) that I am working through insomnia while discerning what to shift so I have less that “keeps me up at night”.
Speaking of sleep, I shared how I was accidentally eating keto and the protein dietary shift that enabled me insomnia to subside. I also shared some sleep tips from my sleep coach that are making the biggest difference for me, like keeping our bedroom under 70 degrees (I had no idea cooler temperatures produce more melatonin).
I also shared about my post-pregnancy weight loss journey and how sleep plays a major part in our weight, hunger and cravings. I also discussed how adding ease to my life, not more willpower or discipline, was integral in my recent weight loss.
And lastly, I announced Insatiable will be back September 22! And I’m sharing the season theme here first; the top-vote getting theme is Trusting Satiation: A Truce with Food Secret. I can’t wait to share with you all this life-changing topic, especially at a time when satiation might feel frivolous or unnecessary.
Be Well,
P.S. Don’t forget about the Truce with Food certification open house this Thursday at 12:30 pm EST. It’s for health and healing professionals who value depth, impact and mastery. Sign-up here to attend (or to receive the recording after the live event).
