The first time I went to the beach with my family, at just five years old, I opened the car door, ran to the ocean, threw out my arms, twirled around and said “I love this!” I bring this same enthusiasm when speaking to people about the power they have over their health through food and emotional well-being.

Cliff Notes About Ali
- Ali is the creator of the ground-breaking Truce with Food group program that helps participants learn what foods are best for them from a medical perspective and the reasons people don’t do what they know they should.
- Ali has a Masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Organizational Dynamics, with concentrations in coaching, change management and adult learning. She received the faculty-nominated Lois Ginsberg Community Service Award (my husband called it the “teachers pet” award. I’ll take it!)
- Ali layered her Masters work with her background in holistic nutrition and functional medicine to create her Truce with Food model. She attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition/Columbia Teacher’s College, the Institute for the Psychology of Eating and was mentored by Philadelphia’s leading functional medicine expert.
- Ali’s work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Yahoo Shopping, Redbook Magazine, Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine and other popular blogs like Kris Carr’s and Tiny Buddha. She was previously a regular health contributor to the NBC 10! Show.
- Ali is a 25-year cancer survivor and after 20 years of emotional eating, has successfully called her own truce with food.
- Ali’s previous career was in corporate public relations and is an expert at tailoring speeches to individual audiences.
