I created a free download to support you to unearth your food and body story.
My goal with these journal prompts is to help you see how STORIES (not willpower or discipline) determine if we’re in or out of control with food.
These journal prompts are meant to encourage nuanced, individualized realizations by deconstructing how you’ve been socialized to think around your food and exercise choices (or as some clients call it, brainwashing).
Food is personal, powerful, and a doorway into our most vulnerable needs, wants and dreams. A full page of resources to further support you as you peel back the layers is included in this new freebie.
Want practical examples of these journal prompts? Last Thursday, my current Truce with Food client Liz Merci shared some of her answers as a few questions are taken directly from Truce with Food.
My next IG Live will be Thursday, March 11 at 8 pm EST to talk with my literal rock-star client, Serena Ryder. We’ll discuss her latest album, The Art of Falling Apart, which is about her mental health journey.
I had the privilege of listening to the album last year (listen to one of my favorite songs, Better Now, here). The entire album is soul stirring and healing for any of us who can relate to mental health struggles.
We’ll discuss how food was foundational in Serena’s mental health journey and our work together of how to balance food’s medicinal power and the pressure to eat perfectly when food has become medicine for you.
Be well,
