Lounge & Learn FAQ

1. What is a Lounge & Learn teleclass? L&L's are teleclasses you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home, office, or vacation. A teleclass is a workshop that's delivered over the phone with other people also interested in the topic listening and sharing. They are like work conference calls, but fun and useful!

2. How do Lounge and Learns work? For the live calls, at the listed class time, you simply pick up your phone and dial in to the number I'll send you once you've paid for the class. At the start of the call, I'll give instructions on how to mute and unmute yourself so you can participate when the time comes for discussion and questions. And don't worry if you are a couple of minutes late, we'll have started but you can call in without interrupting the call. Each teleclass focuses on a specific topic. I share my expertise and experience to empower you to make changes to your health. During the call, participants can ask questions and get individual coaching from me. You are free to just listen or you can participate and ask questions. At the end of the call, there’s time for Q&A. When purchasing the previously recorded calls, you’ll receive an .wav file plus accompanying hand-outs that you can download to your computer, iPod or mp3 player. Everyone who registers for a live call also receives a recording.

3. Is this technologically complicated? If you know how to make a phone call, you can join. Considering you don’t have to put on make-up, dress up or deal with traffic, it’s a no brainer! Teleclasses are conducted over the phone, not the computer or Internet. No special software or phone service is needed. The number you’ll call will be a U.S. phone number. If you don't have unlimited long distance, you will be charged by your provider. If you are purchasing a previously recorded call, all you need to understand is how to open an email from me. The call will arrive electronically immediately after you purchase the call from my online store.

4. I've paid for the class. When will I receive my materials? After you place your order through my secure online store, you will receive a call outline and handouts one week before the live class. The recording will be available after the call. If you are purchasing the call recording, you’ll receive all the materials immediately in an email from me. If you don’t receive the materials, check your SPAM folder. Make sure to put ali@alishapiro.com on your white list so my email isn’t considered SPAM.

5. I signed-up for the call, but something came up or I forgot to dial in. What happens now? We send at least two reminders for each call, so hopefully this won't occur. If you still miss the call, you’ll receive the recording and hand-outs the day after the call was completed.
